Minor Body Orbit Update 0 bytes SS Pro 6.8.5.2 iOS 16.2

I’ve been unable to update the Minor Body Orbit data on either my iPad or iPhone - the last time they were successfully updated was in May & July of 2022, respectively. I’m running iOS 16.2 and SkySafari Pro 6.8.5.2. Repeated attempts always show “0 bytes downloaded.” I’ve turned off iCloud Private Relay but otherwise haven’t altered the iOS settings. Anything else to coerce the download (I’ve read all other posts on this topic here).

Thanks,

Arlo

    Arlo,

The Minor Body Orbit data update works fine for me using SS6 Pro on MacOS and SS6 and SS7 Pro on Android.  Try using a different WiFi connection.  Try turning off data on your phone, so only WiFI is used.  Sorry, not sure what the issue is.

I'm updating iPadOS, and will try again, incase it is an OS related issue.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Kieron. Following your advice, I turned off WiFi and successfully downloaded the latest minor body orbital data via my cellular data plan. Not sure why it isn’t working via WiFi. Now I’ll be able to plan for imaging some comets soon.

    Thanks,

    Arlo
