How To Connect Orion Intelliscope XT8i To SN7 (Wired & Wireless Options)

I'd like to connect my Intelliscope xt8i to the Starry Nights software that came with the scope. The version is SE7 Can you confirm that this is possible for this version? And point me to what I need to make the link in  (a) wired and (b) wireless forms.

  Hi Alastair, 

  To make a WIRED connect on Windows or Mac OS X you will need a USB-to-Serial cable.

  Confirm the checklist:

  1. Latest Ascom platform

  2. Latest driver

  3. Latest firmware for paddle.

  4. Latest driver for USB to Serial cable.

  To make a WIRELESS connection on Windows or Mac OS X you will need our SkyFi 3 hardware.  On Mac OS X the the setup is plug and play.
