Name labels are missing from the chart in Sky Safari 5 Pro on a MacPro, MacOS 10.12.6 (Sierra). All of the labels are enabled in the settings panels but no text appears on the chart.

Bill Tschumy Zolt,
This is almost certainly because the Arial font is disabled (or deleted) on your Mac. This is a standard font that all Macs come with and use. Go into the FontBook app and see if Arial is disabled.
We occasionally get reports of this. We suspect there is some app people install that disabled the Arial font she some reason.

Zolt Levay Sure enough, Aral was disabled, not sure why. But the labels are back now. Thanks, and sorry for taking so long to acknowledge.

Bill Tschumy Glad to hear that was it. I wish I know what application is disabling this standard font.

Venj Chu I have similar problem with SkySafari 5 Plus for macOS on 10.12.6. I have checked my font settings, and Arial font is installed and enabled. But still not label shown on sky map.
Only greek letters can be seen on the sky map. Any idea why?
BTW: I use Chinese locale. I tried to changed to English locale, but no luck.
A screenshot is attached.

Bill Tschumy Not sure what is happening here. I don't think we've had a problem like this reported before. If you turn off the Greek Symbols in the Star settings, do no labels appear.
I will try to look at this but it will likely be an a couple of weeks.

Venj Chu Thank you for your reply. And today I finally find a way to reproduce the problem, and find a work around.
Here are the steps:
- Change macOS's system language to English
- Change "Region" to United States. (This step is important, last time, I didn't do this step.)
- Remove app sandbox directory at ~/Library/Containers/com.simulationcurriculum.SkySafari5MacPlus (to prevent old config affect the result)
- Reboot system.
After that, open SkySafari 5 Plus, labels are visible.
But if I switch back to Chinese language, All the labels will disappear again. I guess its a bug related to locale. I hope the new information can help you solve the bug.
I'm fine with English as my OS's primary language. But if you can completely solve this bug, it will be great.
