There is an interesting view show on the third screen shot for the SkySafari 5 Pro app. Basically showing alt az for a deep sky object with respect to earth and the milkyway. How do I navigate to that view??

Hi Ed,
Third screenshot where? Is this on the web somewhere? Can you link me to where?
Thanks!
I think Ed is referring to the 3rd screenshot on the iOS App Store that is showing the Galaxy View (where objects are in and around the Galaxy).
There are two ways to get this.
1. To show a single object in Galaxy View you tap the "Galaxy" button at the bottom of the Object Info.
2. To show a group of objects in Galaxy View, you make an observing list of them. Then highlight the list. Then from the "List" icon at the bottom of the chart, pick "Show List in Galaxy View"
Yes, you have my answer Bill. I am giving a presentation to the Houston Astronomy Society Novice session on Ursa Major. In this presentation I am using similar screen shots from {http://www.thinkastronomy.com/M13/}. I wanted to be able to point out that you can do the same from SkySafari .
Thanks, Ed
Ed,
Glad that answered the question. As you might have guessed, I am also the author of "Where is M13?". I just finally got around to putting this functionality into SkySafari 5 Pro.
