My review of several SS logs show that as soon as the alignment process is completed the AZ encoder reading changes from a positive sign ( which is correct for this scope) to a negative sign ( which causes the scope to move in AZ opposite to it's actual movement direction).
This causes the connection between the scope and SS to be useless. It would seem to me that, after initialization, the sign received by SS should (at least for AZ) should be ignored). I have tried it in both auto and manual input and the same thing happens.
I have also talked to other intelliscope owners and they have experienced the same issue and have therefore stopped using SS for scope control.
Can this be changed in some way I don't know about?
Thanks for the great program I really hope we can find a solution.

Thomas Aldern Ed,
I recently purchased an Orion XT10i and was able to get SS 5 Plus to work properly via SkyWire (the AZ direction was correct). Initially, the telescope position display update was very slow and jerky but then worked fine after 30 secs or so. Could be high CPU usage during an alignment update? This was only evaluated in a push-to configuration.

Bill Tschumy Ed,
This is the first we have heard of this. I appreciate your letting us know there is a problem rather than giving up.
I'm not really sure what is happening. Can you send me one of the log files (maybe with annotations) pointing out what you mean by the encoder reading changes from positive to negative?
You can sent it to "bill at simcur dot com". Please include the text of your original message so I will know what it is about.

Ehhbah All, I solved this problem some time ago. My connection is via Bluetooth. I changed the setup from automatic to + for the encoders and the.problem went away.
Thanks for interest and input.
