No moon librations on Safari 5 plus?

Hello Skysafari!

I have Skysafari 5 plus for android and I might be blind but I can't find anything about Moon librations. Is there any?

The prediction of Jupiter moon shadows transitions were right on and we saw a double transition on June 3rd.  Fantastic!
Hope you can helo me. Thank you!

Kind regards,

Ellen in Ontario,  Canada

    Ellen,

If you look at the Object Info fro the Moon and scroll down to the "Physical Ephemeris" section, you will see Central Longitude and Central Latitude.  This is the Moon's libration in longitude and latitude.

Thank you for the reply! That would mean keeping track of it every day and figuring extreme librations myself. It would benice if there is a warning for interesting librations, like on Mobile Observatory. I would like SkySafary to be my only go-to app... :)
    Thanks!

    Ellen,

I don't think one app can do everything.  To fully support all the sub-disciplines of our hobby, the app would become terribly complex and the UI would be confusing.  I think it makes sense to have specialized apps for specialized purposes.  We do show the current libration information, but showing a calendar of librations with alerts to interesting ones is probably more than we will put in.

Hi Bill, I appreciate your reply. It certainly would become very big and "top heavy", but am very happy with the shadow transits. Big kudos.
