ServoCat Hand Controller + SkyFi 3

Hello

Can you still use the Servocat Handpad when the SkiFi is connected with the telescope.

Thanks

Yes.  The two should interoperate just fine.  If you move the scope using the hand controller, the position will update on SkySafari's screen.

    OK thanks.

I was confused on this as on CN it was saying when connected to Celestron the handpad was not working anymore --> The SkyPortal replaces your hand controller.  YOU CANNOT USE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME, i.e., during the same observing session.  That is, you cannot, say, use the hand controller for alignment, and then switch to the SkyPortal."

But then, after reading the article again, it's about the "SkyPortal" WiFi . Is this another product than the "SkyFi"?

    Thanks.

Yes, the Celestron Wi-Fi option is a totally different beast than SkyFi.  This is one of the advantages of SkyFi one the Celestron Wi-Fi dongle.

Thanks. It's clear now. Just one more question, there was a post in this forum describing general issues of Skyfi with Servocat. Can you confirm they have been solved? Thanks again for your answers.

I think we resolved all the ServoCAT issues a couple of years ago.  Can you point to the posting you're referring to?

Well, if you read this thread to the bottom, you will see that we addressed this issue and the user reported it was working.  It was a SkyFi 3 firmware issue.
