SkySafari 6 Pro | Telescope Settings and Display Options Are Missing?

There are no Settings and Display options under the Telescope settings in SS6.

How can I define equipment like Telescopes, Eyepieces and Cameras to display their FOV like I am doing in SS5 Pro?

I need to visualize the position of the OAG camera together with the FOV of the main camera like doing sonin SS5.

    Found it ...

These settings are now available under the new SS6 Observe Toolbar Icon.

Correct.  It seems many people are thrown by this change.  That is one reason that in the new Quick Start tips we highlight the Observe button and say that is when you add equipment.

    Just to be clear...

The Telescope Setup is still under the "Settings" menu as it was in SS5 Pro (where you define the scope type and mount type, whether you use a SkyFi and the communication settings, etc.)

But the field of view settings defined by all the equipment (telescope optical tubes, eyepieces, cameras, etc.) are in the new "Observe" menu.

As I've just recently learned (less than 5 minutes ago), the Field of View rectangles for your cameras will rotate or not rotate to the celestial grid based on your "mount type" choice ... and that's still in the "Settings" -> Telescope "Setup" menu (in the "Equipment Selection" choices).

Can I import the DISPLAY and EQUIPMENT settings from SS5 Pro to SS6 Pro. If so, how do I do it?.

    Thanks

    David,

Yes, please see the posting pinned to the top of the iOS Apps forum:

    https://support.simulationcurriculum.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115008812967-SkySafari-6-Pro-Moving-Observing-List-Saved-Settings-and-Equipment-from-SS5-to-SS6-

If you move the Equipment.txt file , that should get you your equipment and the FOV indicators you have defined.  If you move the  [CurrentSettings].skyset file (replacing the one already there), the various chart settings in SS5 will be transferred.

Jesse, it sounds like you're using the free, basic version of SkySafari, which doesn't support telescope control, as is stated in the store description. This is by far the best app for what you're wanting to do; I would recommend the Pro version.
