before buying skysafari (plus or pro) i would like some clarification. I have a celestron C8 nexstar, an android smartphone and a macbook air M1. I want to use skysafari to prepare my observations (on mac) and pilot my telescope (with my smartphone), My questions: 1) if I buy a mac book air compatible version of skysafari plus, do I also have to buy the paid version for the android smartphone? Or is one purchase enough to get paid versions on both platforms? 2) skysafari pro 7 does not seem compatible mac book air M1 like previous versions? Am I right? Thank you for your advice.

Keiron Smith Phillipe,
At this time, only SS6 is available for MacOS.
SS6 and SS7 will sync data via LiveSky (free - no subscription required).
SkySafari must be purchased separately for each different OS: iOS, MacOS, Android.
Thanks!

philippe buysschaert Thanks Keiron,
I I take advantage of this post to ask you what are the differences between skysafari and starry night. both solutions seem to do the same thing. thank you

Keiron Smith Starry Night was developed for desktop - Mac and Windows.
SkySafari was developed for mobile devices - iOS and Android.
There is a lot of overlap.
Starry Night is 25 years in the making, very deep, planetarium style astronomy software with incredible graphics.
SkySafari is the #1 mobile app for telescope control and visual astronomy.
If you're asking which one is for you ask, first, do you want desktop or mobile telescope control.
Thanks!
