Hello, I'm Chunkeun Jang, an amateur astronomer from South Korea.
I would like to introduce the record of the observation of Halley's Comet on March 11, 1759 (lunar calendar) as documented in the "Seongbyeon Cheokhoodanja(星變測候單子)" which is currently being prepared for registration on the UNESCO World Documentary Heritage list in Korea. According to the record, the Halley's Comet was observed near the constellation Heo (虛, Emptness of Black tortoise) during the early hours of the morning.
The Seongbyeon Cheokhodanja provides a valuable record of Halley's Comet during the Joseon Dynasty, and sheds light on both the scientific and cultural significance of celestial events during the period.
Here I attatched the photograph of the record and the positon in the sky by Starry night pro 8. I translated the name of chinese constellations from English to Korean and Chinese.
