On MacOS, Why Am I Prompted To Enter A Password When Installing Or Updating Software? (Answer: MacOS Security Requests You Enter Your Master Password)

My app is Starry Night SN8 Enthousiast , software version 8.0.6. When looking for soft upgrading version 8.1.1 is offered. No problem when discharging but at time of installation "User Name" is required as well as "Password". What is meant by password when I never submitted any password to install and use the application. I tried with the Registration number, unsuccessfully.

Am looking for any clarification, thanks

    On MacOS, when installing/updating software the MacOS security software can request you enter your MacOS Master Password.

    Only you know what that is.
