[Data]* Is The Position Of Saturn's Moon Phoebe Incorrect?

Hi there, the position of Saturn's moon Phoebe is incorrectly displayed in SkySafari. Even after updating the "Minor Body Orbit Data" in the Solar system settings, it's still wrong. Can you please either correct this error, or remove it from the app as it's misleading.

Thanks, Andrew

    Andrew,

Please provide the the following info:

    1. App and version (basic, plus or pro)?  In Help > scroll to the bottom for the version number.
    2. OS version
    3. Explanation regarding how incorrect the moon position is, and by what other data you are comparing SS.  Please consult another 3rd source to be sure.

    Thanks!

Phoebe's position is wrong in the two versions I have, SkySafari 6 Plus, and 7 Pro for the iPhone (however I suspect it's wrong on all the platforms).

I've noticed this through my own measurements and images, as have others (see links below).

The correct location can be found on NASA's Planetary Data System website here

It's wrong in the two versions I have, SkySafari 6 Plus (6.8.5.2), and 7 Pro (7.2.0 (1096)) for the iPhone (however I suspect it's wrong on all the platforms). I'm currently running ver 16.6.1 of the iPhone OS, but it was wrong in previous versions of the OS and I cannot see any reason why that should make any difference.

Glad to see you are still looking into this.

It matters for the developers that all reports include app version, OS version and device model.

    Thanks so much!
