Why does Starry Night think my telescope is located in China?

I can connect and control my Orion Sirius mount and scope with no problem except as soon as the connection is made my location in Starry Night changes to China. The location it gives in China is the same longitude as my actual location but east instead of west. The latitude is correct. I have checked the location I have stored in the mount and it is correct. If I select my home location in Starry Night it goes there and every thing works fine until the next time I connect to the mount and then it does the same thing again.

    Hi Larry,

How have you set up your home location in Starry Night?  Did you input long & lat?  Did you input the correct long & lat?  Please confirm.  If you still encounter difficulty try choosing your home location from the list or zip options.

Let us know if that helps.

After much reading experimenting and frustration it turned out as usually to be operator error. I finally remembered that longitude and latitude had to be entered in three places not just two. I had them correct in the mount and in Starry Night but I had made an error when I entered longitude in the ASCOM driver. I put East instead of West.
