Messier List?

Most of the Messier objects are missing from my version of Starry Night Pro 5. (This is a somewhat old version I have on a desktop PC running Win XP.)
I saw a recommendation to fix this problem by switching to an older version of Quicktime. So I uninstalled Quicktime, then installed Quicktime 7. This did not fix the problem. The Messier list is still mostly missing. A few objects show up; e.g., I can do a 'find' on M 31 and it goes to it, but when I do a 'find' on M 13 it tries to go to 13 Monocerotis.

I have Starry Night Pro 6 on a laptop running Win 7 and the Messier Object list shows up properly in this version.

I have Starry Night pro 6 running win 7 and there is no place to select Messier.  They do show up and you can "find" them, but how do I set it to automatically appear?
