Proper "Sky Calendar" - gone?

Hello.

I just bought version 7 of Starry Night Pro Plus and was very disappointed to find that the Sky Calendar from the previous version is nowhere to be found: http://i.imgur.com/pBJs1JF.jpg

We now have an "Events Visible Today" section of the unified search menu. In my opinion, that's a worse alternative, because we no longer can select other days, like we could when using the "SkyCal" sidetab in version 6. It doesn't even dynamically/automatically update the events section when we change the day, so the only way to see events from other days (like tomorrow or the day after), is to change the date at the top bar, then search something on the search bar, then delete, and only then do we get an updated list of events for the altered day.

Nor can we see more precise timings for the events. For instance, in regards to a jupiter satellite transit, the events section only shows one time, it no longer shows the start and finish time of the event, and doesn't show the description field for other special events (like eclipses: that field told us where in the world it was visible).

Plus, the manual says we can filter events by going to the "event options", but that option is nowhere to be found on the Windows version (at least I couldn't find it).

Please change the events section, it's a step down from the previous version of Starry Night.

I agree I would like to be able to scan sky events on another date similar to SN6

I concur.  The calendar was VERY useful for minding my upcoming outings and observing lists for those outings.  The moon phase, coupled with my own events inputs helped my planning significantly.  Please reinstate this feature!

I agree.  Believe it or not, I basically bought the software for this VERY FEATURE!  Now I wish I would have purchased 6 instead.  Please add the calendar with lunar cycles back to 7.

    Thank you

They want me to upgrade to Pro 7 to get sky calendar updates. The reason, no sky calendar for July and may not update anymore, cause they're  working more on Pro 7...

Found this topic searching to see if I was simply missing where the SkyCalendar was located. Sad to see that it is not implemented in version 7. Why was it removed? Are there any plans to bring it back?

No plans at the moment.  But, we see the interest, so, we may reconsider for the future.
