I am now running SkySafari Plus, SkySafari Pro V5 and now Skysafari Pro (v6) 0n my ipad. Should I delete the previous versions?

  You don't need to delete SS5.  The two will happily coexist on the iPad.  However, if you are happy with the transition to SS6 you can certainly delete the older version.
