Please Add Support For The SynScan WiFi Adapter (Answer: Aiming For Late 2019)

Please Add support for a connection from ipad to HEQ5 pro via the Synscan Wi-Fi Adapter.?

    Any updates regarding the ETA of this feature? Should I still believe we are talking december at the very best or any hope for earlier than that?

    Don't know exactly when this will be implemented.  We have been totally focused on getting SS6 for Android out.  After the dust settles in a couple of weeks, maybe we can try to schedule this.

    The person that would work on this got pulled into another project.  That is now wrapping up and he should be able to get back to it.  Hopefully it will be available in a month or two.  Sorry for the delay.

    I am very much interested in any update on this as well. My whole reason for getting SkySafari Pro was to control my EQ6 mount via SynScan WiFi.

    My only option now is to use the "SynScan Pro" app to talk to the WiFi adapter, and connect SkySafari to the app. It works in principle, but unfortunately the Synscan Pro app goes to sleep when in background, so SkySafari disconnects.

    So my only solution is that SkySafari provides the direct support for the adapter.

    Hi Dimitri, 

    This afternoon we discussed native SkySafari support for the SynScan WiFi module.  The developers are reviewing what needs to be done.  If possible, we will have it added into an update coming in November.  As Bill has retired, and Tim moved onto other non-related projects, the schedule for development has to be adjusted.  I'll update in the forums when I have more info.  We will need help with the beta-testing for sure.
