Menubar Icons Invisible

After viewing map view in the sky this week section, icons on the menu bar go invisible.  They are there and if you click the right spot they work.  A restart of the app. is required for the icons to reappear again.  Anyone else have / had this problem and knows of a fix?  Ipad 4th generation with Retina display,  Thank you.

    I have had one other person report this.  I have looked into it but I have no idea what is happening.  I can't reproduce it.  The buttons are invisible but still there if you tap where they should be.  We have non code in the app that ever make the toolbar buttons invisible so this is likely some sort of iOS bug.

    It could be some sort of iOS system setting you have on that is causing this.  You might look through your Accessibility and other settings and see if something unusual is on that might trigger this bug.

    I think restarting the app is the only way to get out of this.

    I just tried duplicating the bug described by Astrochild, and it also occurs for me every time.

    Here is the sequence I follow to manifest the problem:

    * Launch SkySafari 6 Pro.
    * Select Sky Week.
    * Select a view button.
    * Select “Done”.

    Menu bar icons are now invisible.

    I’ve tried activating many different functions by tapping the invisible buttons to bring up new screens that I thought might refresh the menu bar, but so far no success.
    Killing and restarting the app restores the menu bar.

    I also still have SkySafari 5 Pro installed, and if I perform the same steps with that version the menu bar icons remain visible.

    I noticed a small difference between version 5 and 6. That being, with version 5 no time flow controls are displayed in the Sky Week view display, while in version 6 the time flow controls pop up while viewing the Sky Week display. Maybe a clue?

    My System: iPad 2, iOS 9.3.5
    Note that iOS 9.3.5 is the most recent OS that my iPad supports. Could that version of the OS be part of the problem?

    No, this was been reported on a different version of iOS and different hardware.  It does not happen to everyone.  I have been totally unable to reproduce this.

    Hi Dean,

    Please attach a screenshot of this so we can see what the issue looks like.

    Thanks!

    The same problem occurs for me when I save settings. When applied the settings have been saved but the icons on the menu bar are invisible. Have reloaded the app but still the same.

    I still haven't had any luck figuring this one out.  There is something unique about the setup of the few people that are seeing this.

    Still looking into this.  If anyone can shed any new information, I'd appreciate it.

    Linton, are you saying that just saving a settings causes this problem?  Or is it when applying a saved settings?

    Hi Bill,

    just tried this again. I made some changes to the factory settings, saved them, then emailed them to myself. When I import them into the app I then lose the menu bar. Screenshot attached

    I have verified we have a fix for this, at least one user that reported it says it is gone in a beta we gave them.  We hope to role this out in a couple of weeks.

    Thank you to everyone at Simulation Curriculum, the last update solved this problem for me.  My menu bar icons no longer go invisible.  Cheers!
