  Which platform, iOS or Mac (this post should really be in the appropriate forum; it is not General Astronomy) ?

  I just tried it on both and don't see a problem.  Can you elaborate on what you're seeing?

  hi Bill

  this is the version on MAC.the name density cursor does not trigger any increase of names.

  Just found out that you need to tick the "show in wide field" to get this cursor to work and deep sky objects to appear.I didn't understand this logic.not intuitive to me. I hope this helps. Daniel

  Thanks for the feedback.  The "Show In Wide Fields" has been OFF by default from the very first version of SkySafari 8 years ago.  We felt a clean uncluttered look when zoomed out was preferable.  I can understand that others might feel differently.
