LiveSky.com | How Do I Sync Two SkySafari Apps (Answer: Read On!)

Hi,

I registered at LiveSky.com with a Basic account and now I want to sync all my settings and my equipment between my iPad (SS6 Plus)  and my Mac (SS6 Pro). I don‘t even have a clue how to do this. I‘m logged in with my LiveSky account on iPad and Mac.

Now what must I do to get those devices synced?

All the best,

Oliver

    Hi Oliver,

In SkySafari 6, log into to LiveSky (Settings -> LIveSky Account) using the same email and password that you used to register your LiveSky.com account.

The apps will sync automatically.  Simple.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

If you log into LiveSky.com, what you see there is what will be synced between apps.  Star label options will not be synced.

    Thanks!

    Hi Keiron,

LiveSky is advertised with sync „Settings Files“. From my understandig this includes *all* settings and sync them between devices. To be more precise with „Settings“ I really mean Settings available in SkySafari.

    All the best,
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,

LiveSky syncs: Equipment, FOVs, Observations, Observation Lists, Sessions, i.e. Sites (Locations).

Login in to LiveSky.com and go here: https://www.livesky.com/#/saved-setting

^^^ These are settings files, which is a sky view, at a certain time, at a certain place, looking in a specific direction, with a specific FOV, and with specific options enabled.

Again, labels are not included in the "options" that are saved in settings files.

    Thanks!
