[Bug - Needs Path To Reproduction] Starry Night Pro Plus 8 Hand Cursor Not Visible On Windows 10 Enterprise (Is Anyone Else Experiencing This?)

The 'Hand Cursor Tool' is not visible in Starry Night Pro Plus 8. I just can see a black outline but the white corpus is not there, like it is in SN7 or any other program with a hand tool (like acrobat reader). In front of the black sky the Hand Cursor therefore is not visible because it´s transparent. All other tools (e.g. the arrow) are white and visible.

I am thankful for every help.

    Hi Jochen,

    Please always include:

    • SN version number.
    • Operating system,
    • Screenshot, if it helps.  And, in this case it will help.  Please attach a screenshot.

    Thanks!

    Hi Keiron,

thank you for the quick answer. Sorry about the lack of information, but here we go:

    Version: 8.0.1.1650 leEW

    OS: Win 10 Enterprise

Screenshot is attached. I had to move the cursor in front of the horizon to see the black outlines and made the shot with an external cam, because Win apparently doesn´t save the cursor position when taking a screenshot. I also added a little red arrow which points on the cursor:

    Hi Jochen,

Sorry, I can't reproduce this issue.  I'm not sure what is going on.  Do you have SN7 running on this same computer?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I had it installed on the same computer. After the installation of SN8 (different HDD) I uninstalled SN7.

The next thing I will try, when back home, is to uninstall SN8 and do a new installation of it and report back here.

Same result with a new Installation. But I looked in this folder "\Starry Night Pro Plus 8\Resources\Cursors" and saw that the two png files (Hand and ClosedHand) are transparent with black outlines. So I filled them with white colour and converted the png´s to cur files. Then I copied the two cur files into the "Cursors" folder (overwrite) and now I have a beautiful white hand-cursor. :)

Conclusion: The two *.cur files of the hand cursor seemed to have had a transparent background - at least in my case (?!). I can´t verify this, because I can´t show or edit cur-files directly.
