A new ”Observed now” button at the bottom of the Object Info view!
The button should create a new observation with a time stamp and save it. Even bettet if the button is voice controlled.
This way you can create observations during cold nights without using your fingers an then edit them and ad information later on after the observation session.
Are you aware that this already exists under the "More" button in the object info. Tap More ( the 3 circles) and then "Create NewObservation". I don't think we will be moving it one level up. Surely 2 taps rather than 1 is not a big deal.
Have you been using voice control? I basically get zero feedback on it so I assume it is not very useful to most. We did stick it in as a sort of test to see if it works.
Yes I know it exists there, thougt moving it up one level made it easyer to voice control it...
My feedback on voice control is that it works perfectly!
I have used voice control almost every observing night this winter and it works verry well on my IPad together with my Celsestron NS Evo. It`s werry useful here up in the cold north when temperatures often drops down to -15 C. It`s also nice to focus on the objects I am observing and just ”talk to my scope” and tell it what to go to.
Used all commands and it works directly and with few errors exept for ”zoom” that I had some problems with, however, I turned out to be my swedish accent that was the problem so after some training it went well :-)
Since I often make my own observing lists in advance and then uses them during my session, ”select next object” and ”new observation” is the only voice command that I miss...
I really encourage users to try voice control, its werry convenient and quite a facinating as well.

Thanks for the feedback on voice control. Since I've gotten very few comments about it I assumed no one was using it and it wasn't worth adding more voice commands. It is heartening to hear it is working well for you.
Adding voice control to an action is really independent of where it is invoked in the UI so having the button in the More popup is not an issue.
