Is it possible to connect SkyWire to an iPhone using a dual port adapter splitter, such as

This potentially could allow charging of the iPhone while simultaneously running the telescope.  For reference, I have a Orion XX12g GoTo Dob and use SkySafari Plus on iPhone 6S.

  The marketing on that product page suggests it will work.  But, this is not an officially supported SkyWire configuration.  So, you have to take a chance, and hope for the best.

  Maybe someone in the community can confirm success with such a setup.

  Thanks.  It's only ~$16 on Amazon, so it's not that big of risk.

  Quick update.  It did not work.  When using the dual adaptor, the iPhone would not recognize when Sky Wire was plugging in.  It would still be a good idea to make something like this, because it would allow charging while running the telescope.
