Where Are The Telescope Setup And Telescope Control Buttons In Starry Night Pro Plus 8? (Answer: Main Menu > View)

I noticed that I am missing Telescope Control in Starry Night 8 Pro Plus.  I had it in Version 7 and it continues to work in that version.  I read somewhere that I needed to perform a 'custom' install to get it so I un-installed version 8 hoping the custom install would ask me if I wanted Telescope Control added to Version 8 and it did not.  So I still don't have it in Version 8.

I have all of the current ASCOM drivers and it works in Version 7 so what is going on?

  Hi Conrad,

  Please look in the main menu > View:

  • Show Telescope Setup
  • Show Telescope Control

  Keiron,

  I did not know I could get to the telescope control that way.  In Starry Night 7, I would  find it on the far right panel under the drop down.  It looks like it got removed from that panel in version 8?

  Yes, Conrad, telescope setup and control have been moved under the View tab.

  I still haven’t tried this because I have been buried in other issues but I will be trying it soon using the SkYFI IIII device.
