How Can I Change The FOV Color In Starry Night Pro Plus 8? (Answer: Read On!)

Hello,

I saw a while back that you can no longer change the color of the FOV's in version 8 and that they're stuck on red. Is that still the case?

  Hi Neil, 

  FOV colors can be changed as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Right click on your FOV contextual menu > Edit
  2. Click on the colour box
  3. Change the color

  Hi Keiron,

  related: I like to use this custom color option to designate if i am using a specific barlow/powermate, etc with my eyepieces...so I do not always need to see the text labels which I find distracting while viewing...

  Even when I select "Hide all Labels" the FOV text labels remain...

  am I correct that there is currently no way to turn off the text labels for FOV (other than making the name field blank in every piece of equipment)? Or?

  also, I periodically find editing issues in the PDF manual...for example p. 108: "(see “Equipment” on page xxx for"  so I am adding highlights & notes to my copy of the PDF manual as I find them...are you the one who maintains that document? if so the next time you plan to update it I can send you my marked up copy...since it is very easy to click through the markups in the 'notes window' of any pdf reader so you can fix those for the next version...
