Hi there, I'm running SkySafari Plus (and still love it), and I'm starting to get interested in imaging galaxies. Most of the smaller ones just show up as an ellipse on the screen, but I'd like to view them inside the app to see whether it's worth me setting up the telescope to image.
I notice you have the "Galaxy View" as an in-app purchase, which according to your website promises "The PGC catalog has 784,000 galaxies down to 18th magnitude. And with an in-app purchase you can get a total 3.4 million galaxies down to the 21st magnitude." Now, I'm not really interested in adding more galaxies, but would like more images of the currently available galaxies I can actually see. Does in the in-app purchase have more images, or just more blank ellipses?
Also (and I know this has been covered before), it would be great if Sky Safari was able to import the hand controller alignment from the mount so I could use it to point to objects without having to align it first from the app. My mount frequently loses wifi connection which requires me to restart it and I have to do the alignment process again, it's extremely annoying. Has there been any progress with Celestron on allowing alignment settings to be sent wirelessly to SkySafari?
