[SynScan WiFi Beta Testing] SkySafari 6 Plus (6.7.2.4) Is Ready To Test On iOS 11th June 2020

IPhone (Only) - Looking Good

I downloaded the new beta version(6.7.2.4), after first removing the previous version on test.

Currently, it is day time here and raining, so I setup in the conservatory with the AZ-GTI on a tripod and a Dovetail plate acting at a pointer(telescope) on a wedge, pointing approx at Polaris(North).

On my IPhone I connected to the AZ-GTI Wifi as normal and then opened up SkySafari Plus app with these setting(Fig1).

In SkySafari Plus,  I then clicked on connect.

SynScan Pro (Ver 1.19.0) app then suddenly opened.

In SynScan Pro, I selected the EQ-Mode and connected.

I then returned back to SkySafari Plus and proceeded to move to various objects around the sky, literally 6 or 7 objects at random.

As I am aware of the various compass directions within my garden and the app certainly seemed to be performing correctly and no longer just rotated around Polaris.

I now need a decent weather window to test properly at night - but it certainly looks very promising - thank you.

IPad (Only) - Also looking good.

I have also just downloaded SkySafari Plus onto my IPad (6.7.2.4), SynScan Pro (ver 1.19.0) already installed.

Same as above basically, still day time here, although the rain has stopped. Virtual day time test appears to work.

Turned the AZ-GTI on, then on my IPad connected to AZ-GTI Wifi.

Using SkySafari Plus, I then clicked on connect(same setup settings as above for IPhone).

SynScan Pro app then suddenly opened.

In SynScan Pro, I selected the EQ-Mode and connected.

I then returned back to SkySafari Plus and proceeded to move to various objects around the sky, literally a handful, again at random.

I am unsure if I will be able to test outside at this point later - but so far looking great.

Have installed latest version and tried to connect as 'Skywatcher SynScan' but failed again like with the former version. Setup: direct wifi access to the module through IP 192.168.4.1 and port 11880, automatic find is off. With the Skywatcher Synscan app it is connecting fine that way.

There is no fifference if using Access Point mode or station mode. Also if only one or both are enabled seems not to make any difference.

Then tried to configure it as Skywatcher SynScanLink'. Once pressed connect button it asked to start the SynScan Pro app and then it immediately connected to the mount. I tried to goto some stars which worked perfectly fine - at least in theory. It is daytime and raining so only testing inside and have no clue if it halfway hit the coordinates but at least it is conencting and moving and pointing into the direction expected. Also the screen in the app is moving in parallel to the mount, which is awesome. If this is the way how to use it for me that's perfectly fine.

I will however try again later with other, different settings. Maybe a small detail might make a big change here quickly. Any hint is appreciated though.

Thaks guys for your excellent work!

    Weather still not great here.

I did however, find some information on the ZWO website that enables the ASIAIR Pro to work with SkySafari Plus(AZ-GTI mount).

Just tried it indoors, seems to work and now back to waiting for a decent weather window to test outside.

Strange settings, but they appear to work.
