Hi Everyone,
I would like to go beyond the planetarium aspects of Starry Night Pro Plus 8 and learn how to use it to fully control my Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro Mount. Is there a tutorial available on how to do this? I am fairly computer-literate, but brand new to the concept of controlling a mount with a PC.

The hand controller can also connect to a computer using the supplied RS232 cable (USB adapter available), enabling computer control with most astronomy programs.
So, you need one of the following solutions:
Generic USB-to-Serial cable:

Then you need to decide on your preferred Starry Night OS: Windows 10 or macOS 10.13 and higher
After your hardware is setup, for options 1 & 2, align your scope first using the hand controller before connecting with Starry Night.
For option 3 you can connect and align using SkySafari 6 Pro on iOS or Android.
