Why Are There Only Limited Galaxies Image Showing In Safari 6 Pro On MacOS Catalina? (Answer: Read On!)

I'm new to the app. In my settings under 'Deep Sky' I have selected 'Show Objects', 'Show images' and under 'ObjectType Selection' I have selected everything except 'Dark Nebulae'. With this settings, I do not see any images of galaxies or other 'objects' in normal or wide view of the app. The only thing I see are small circles. When I click on them, it indicates that it's a galaxy, but there is no image/s shown when zoom in or 'Orbit' the object. What am I doing wrong? Or is this how it's suppose to work? Are they suppose to be just blank circles? Where are the 3 million galaxies?

Thanks in advance!

Tim

    Hi Tim,

This is how SkySafari 6 Pro works.  Symbols; i.e. circles for galaxies, show you where they are located in the night sky.  Downloading 3 million images is not realistic.  So, only the most popular deep-sky objects have images included.

    Thanks!

That's too bad. The 3 million galaxies advertised were one of the main reasons I've made the purchased.  But anyway after exploring the app, I really love it, viewing a dark blank spot is a little disappointing, tho. The more the images the better (imho)!

In the future, if you guys decided to have that option as an "in app purchase" (more images), I would be in line to get!

Either way, keep up the good work!
