Several years ago, I had software called "Deep Space Explorer" that allowed you to explore the universe in 3D aboard a virtual space ship. Later, it was discontinued and its features integrated into Starry Night. I remember using it a few versions ago but I can no longer find these features in Pro Plus.....are they gone forever or have they been ported to a different program? Also, which was the last Pro Plus version that had these features? Will these features ever be returned to SNPP? Thanks!

Keiron Smith Hi Moody,
Spaceship mode is still there.

moody hameed Thanks Keiron! Can I still control the space ship in three dimensions and can still travel up to 700 million light years, just like in the original Deep Space Explorer? But now I should even be able to visit exoplanets! How often is the exoplanet list updated? I haven't seen new ones added in awhile. I want to find these "top 24" considered superhabitable.

In a study led by Washington State University (WSU) geobiologist Dirk Schulze-Makuch, two dozen exoplanets have been identified (planets that exist outside our solar system) that are “super habitable” for living beings. This, however, does not mean that these planets have a life on them but only that they have the necessary conditions that can sustain life.
By the way, is there any time frame on when Pro Plus 9 might be released? PP7 was in 2014, and PP8 was in 2018, so might we expect PP9 to come out in 2022 or 2023?

Keiron Smith Hi Moody,
Yes, you can travel as you did with Deep Space Explorer. Please try it.
As you know, enhancements, ideas, feature requests can be added here:

moody hameed Thanks! Any idea how often the list of exoplanets gets updated? Also any timetable on when PP9 may be released or in beta stage at least? When I do an exoplanet search I get 3,875 exoplanets in the search results, is that the correct up to date number?
