Just got my new SkyFi 3 last week. My scope is a Celestron Nexstar 6SE. My iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 14.4, using the SkySafari 6 Plus (220.127.116.11) and SkyPortal apps, will not connect to the SkyFi network. I keep getting the "unable to make a wireless connection" error message. I've used Celestron Nexstar as the scope type in Settings and also Celestron Wifi, but it made no difference. I deleted the apps and reinstalled, but that didn't help. I have joined the network and given the necessary permissions. I thought the problems with iOS 14 were only with connecting to a home network. I wanted to put it on the record that there are issues with direct connection as well. My iPhone 7 running iOS 11.4 is able to connect directly. Is there any solution other than waiting for Apple to fix whatever they messed up between 11 and 14? Do you know if Apple is aware of these issues?
