Why Can't I Upload The Bam600 Observing List To SkySafari 6 Pro? (Answer: Change The File From Txt To Skylist Format - Read On!)

Hi,

I am having diffuclties uploading the bam600 observing list to my iphone.

When i save the skylist file to my phone - it seems to save it as a text, and the suggested process of emailing and long press on attachment and then opening or inserting to skysafari - does not seem to work.  Has anyone had success importing the list or can point me in my the right direction.

  Hi Darren,

  The download BAM600 file is in text format, that’s why it’s not working for you. Open the file on a PC & remove the ,txt portion of the file name and save it. Change Bam600.skylist.txt to BAM600.skylist. Now email to your device that SkySafari is on & when you open in Mail you should see the SkySafari icon to select for importing the BAM600.skylist
