Audio Tour suddenly stopped working on my iPads. I have two iPads and and iPhone. I have Sky Safari Pro Version 6.8.5.2 installed. The Audio Tour suddenly stopped coming out of the iPad speakers. Visually it appears to work in that if I press the Audio Tour button at the upper left hand corner, the Pause Audio appears and then eventually goes away indicating that the Audio Tour has played. If I connect my iPad by bluetooth, the audio will come out of a separate speaker. This is true for both iPads which seems to indicate it is not a hardware issue. However, it can be heard on my iPhone speaker. I want it to work on my iPad as that is the device I use at the telescope. Using bluetooth and a separate spearker is not a good solution as this prevents the microphone from being used to record observations. I have tried rebooting the iPads and deleting and reinstalling Sky Safari. Audio from all other apps can be heard on the iPads. I see this same question has been asked twice below but no answers given. Is there a solution to this problem?

Keiron Smith Henry,
- What version of iOS are you running?
- What iPad models?
Thanks!

Keiron Smith Henry,
I can't reproduce this issue. We have not updated the app recently.
Another user is reporting this on iPhone iOS 14.6. Sorry, I don't really understand why it is broken.
SkySafari 7 Pro is now for sale, at a 50% discount.
We have no reports of this issue on SS7.

Kieron:
Thanks for responding.
My old iPad is an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5
My newer iPad is an 8th generation running iOS 15.0.2
It is strikingly odd that both iPads will play all kinds of audio (youtube, podcasts, etc) but neither will play Sky Safari Audio Tours.

Chris Wilcox Got the same issue with SkySafari Plus 6 on my iPhone 12 running iOS 14.8.1. No sound with Audio Tour or Pronounciation. Sound on other apps is okay.

Keiron Smith Henry, Chris,
Another figured this out, that the audio is not coming though because they have rings set to silence in the iOS settings.
Please check if this solves the issue for you too.
Thanks!

Henry Lewis Kieron:
Thanks for following up. You wrote "audio is not coming though because they have rings set to silence in the iOS settings". What do you mean by "rings"? (Rings sounds like a ringer for incoming phone calls. My problem is with my iPad which is not an iPhone and thus is not used for phone calls. I can hear Audio Tour through my iPhone.)
