I see Comet C/2021 A1 Leonard in the Brightest Comets list on my SkySafari 6 Plus, but it's not shown in the list on SkySafari 6 (base version), which my friend uses. There doesn't seem to be a way to update minor body orbit data on the base version.
Will there be an app update to the base version to update the Brightest Comets list to include C/2021 A1? It may be the brightest comet in the sky over the next several weeks, so it really should be in this list.

Keiron Smith Gary,
SS6 (basic) updates the Minor Body Orbit Data automatically once per week.
Thanks!

Gary K Keiron,
I installed SS6 (basic) on my phone about 10 days ago so I could keep checking for Comet Leonard, to let my friend know when it's there. I just checked again now and it's still not in the list. I guess it's not updating automatically for me or my friend. I'm using a Samsung Android 11 phone and he's using a Samsung Android 11 tablet.

Keiron Smith Please attach a screenshot of Comet Leonard as found in Search > Brightest Comets.
Also, a screenshot of Comet Leonard's object info page.
Thanks!

Gary K What I'm saying is that I don't see Comet Leonard in the list at all. My friend checked a couple days ago on his tablet and it wasn't in the list for him either.

Keiron Smith Right, what I'm asking for is screenshots from SS6 Plus.
Thanks!

Gary K Okay. Here are the requested screenshots for SS6 Plus, which just updated the minor body orbit data today.

Keiron Smith Gary,
The app will eventually update on its own. But, if you want to force the comet data to update you can simply reinstall the app.
Thanks!

Gary K Keiron,
I had reinstalled the app before on multiple devices (two Android 11 and one Android 6), but Comet Leonard was never on the list. I tried reinstalling it again just now on one Android 11 device, and Comet Leonard now appears. I'm not sure what changed, but at least it's working.
In the meantime I had talked my friend into buying SS6 Plus during the recent 50% off sale.
Thanks,

Keiron Smith An excellent result, Gary! We force load the comet now. Enjoy Leonard!
Clear skies and stay safe!
