The SkyGuide panel is again and has been blank, void of any information for several days. It was reported by myself and at least one other user, however it appears the comments were made in posts marked Completed so may have been overlooked. Would you please check into this for a solution?
Thank you, as always! Wishing you and yours a happy New Year!
Chris

Keiron Smith Chris,
Is this still an issue? If so, please tell me:
- What app and version are you using?
- What OS are you running?
- What ISP are you with?
- Did the SkyGuide previously work on the same computer, same OS?
- Did anything recently change about your setup?
Thanks!

Christophkaye Yes, the problem persists.

Nothing appears in the panel, as at least one other user also posted.

Dlucas I've never had any trouble with anything like this. But strangely, this is now happening to my own install.
Starry Night Pro Plus,
Windows 11
Spectrum Cable
Worked previously.
One thing changed: Installed Starry Night Pro Plus. i just didn't realize that, by choosing this version, I'd lose the Sky Guide?
-
Dlucas Still waiting on a response for Christophkaye -- and, with deep respect, I have the very same problem. I love Starry Night Pro Plus. But we beg SimCurr to recognize and fix this apparent bug.
-
Keiron Smith Developers are reviewing the issue this week, I will have more info tomorrow.
Thanks for your patience.
-
Dlucas Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Thanks so much, Keiron! We appreciate the update!
-
Christophkaye Hi, Keiron, is there a fix that you can share for this ongoing glitch, please?
-
Dlucas Christophkaye, as far as I could tell, Keiron basically said that they developers didn't have an answer in this current release, .... BUT.... installing a new copy of a new version... like Starry Night Pro Celestron SE ... DID restore the Sky Guide. but we have to keep it installed for it to work. You don't happen to have access to another recent installer, do you?
-
Keiron Smith Dlucas,
Did the secondary installation of Starry Night Celestron restore the SkyGuide for you?
Thanks!
-
Dlucas Thrilled to say, Yes! (I thanked you in a half-dozen other threads! haha) Very grateful! And now I'm not embarrassed any more!
-
Keiron Smith An excellent result, Dlucas! Very happy to know we found a successful workaround - thank you for working with me on this issue!
Christophkaye, I will provide you with the same workaround!
-
Dlucas Keiron, bravo. Way to take care of a dedicated SNP customer!
-
Christophkaye Keiron, Dlucas, thank you fellas so much! Whilst I did not have a copy of the Celestron version, I did have a copy of SN8 Enthusiast. On a hunch I reinstalled same and voilà, the SkyGuide again appears, in both versions of SN8.
I really appreciate your persistence and assistance.
Peace! -
Dlucas Great job, Christophkaye!

Keiron Smith An excellent result, Christophkaye!
