In SkySafari, we can "display all objects, only observed objects, or only unobserved objects." How can we duplicate that behavior in Starry Night Pro? In other words, if I'm working my way through a given list of 400 objects, how can I see only the objects without an observation log which are above the horizon right now?

Dlucas Since Sky Safari's Observing lists sync with Starry Night Pro's, I guess the work-around would be... use Sky Safari to look at unobserved targets and let this little app on our phone direct us to the next unobserved target on the Sky Safari unobserved list. But it ... just ... seems so ... odd... that we're telling people that Starry Night Pro is the ultimate powerhouse for professional and amateur astronomers alike -- and the first thing they need to do, when they go out observing, is supplement it with a little sister app on a smartphone. It's such an admission that Starry Night Pro is missing a key piece in the observing workflow. Right? Or is it there - and I'm just not seeing it?

Dlucas Still curious if there's any way to who unobserved objects.

Dlucas Still wondering if there's any way to show just unobserved objects in my favorite planetarium software in the whole universe.

Dlucas I've been learning a lot about this question. As it turns out, Starry Night Pro has an existing paradigm that should address this. It's just that it's currently not working. Here's a video in which I try to explain that - and also propose a work-around to get by until it's fixed.
