1. I have SkySafari 6 Pro and was trying to upgrade to SkySafari 7 Pro. I could not find an "upgrades available" or "check for updates" in SkySafari 6 Pro. I looked in settings and several other subcategories. I went ahead and purchased a copy of SkySafari 7 Pro and installed, but it did not check for already installed versions. I would like to move observing lists, saved settings, and equipment from 6 to 7, but I am not going to go through itunes. I'll do it manually before I go through itunes. Is there an easy way to update / upgrade software without starting over?

Chris In SkaSafari 6 you'll want to create an account that backs up your data to the SkaSafari servers. Then in version 7 it should be as easy as logging in to your account and everything should sync up automatically.
SkaSafari 7 being a major upgrade requires purchasing a new copy, so you did the right thing there! Good luck!

Murphter I found another post that talked about logging in to LiveSky on 6, then logging in to LiveSky on 7 and data will come over. I had trouble finding LiveSky in 7, but found in in Settings. Observing lists imported to 7. Telescope did not. I'll see if it autodetects next time I have the telescope out. Is LiveSky the account you are talking about, or did you have something else in mind? Thanks for your quick post!

Chris Yep, LiveSky is the right account. You can login at livesky.com and check your equipment to make sure it's all entered there.

Murphter My telescopes show in ss6pro, and on livesky.com, but not in ss7pro. Not that much to create, but they didn't seem to transfer. So far, I like the Events in Tonight in ss7 (very nice), but I like the user interface on 6 better. Might change after I use it more and figure out more settings. Thanks again for you help.
