Hi Keiron,
since everyone seems to be using a different method to compute precession, would'nt it be a good idea to stick to J2000 coordinates which evryone agrees on ? For instance, I noticed that the ASCOM scope simulator (which I use) can't use J2000 and is forced to work with the precessed coordinates.
Furthermore, I find confusing the fact that if I set Starry Night to January 1st 2000, I don't get the same RA, DEC for J2000 or JNOW.
Is there a way for me to get the correct unprecessed coordinates expressed in J2000 through ASCOM's scope simulator ?

Nevermind ... I found it in the advanced panel of the telescope simulator.
In fact, the option is there, but the simulator still shows coordinates in JNOW ...
