MAC:
1. The Mac installer can probably be found in your Downloads folder. The installer looks like this:
2. Once the download is complete double click the starrynight6.dmg file to run the installer. If you double click the starrynight6.dmg file and it does not run for any reason (or you get any error message, i.e. archive corrupted), then the download did not successfully complete and you must re-download the installer. Note, you can download the installer onto any computer and from any location, and then transport it to your computer of choice by disk or usb stick (if your internet is slow, this may be advisable). If you are having difficulty downloading Starry Night please be sure to cancel any other torrents/ downloads/streaming running in the background.
3. A window will open with the Starry Night program on the left side, the Mac Applications folder on the right side, and a triangle between the two. To install, you simply drag the Starry Night program over the triangle and onto the Applications folder.
4. Starry Night will be installed in the Applications folder. Run the Starry Night program and register when prompted.
This is effectively useless. How do I deal with the error message?

I am also having issues installing the softmare on my mac OSX 10.8.2. I am trying to install via disc and while it reads the disc ok, it will not open any of the folders including "apple support application.msi." I have tried using two different extraction programs as well and they will not allow me to pen the mac support folder (or anything else on the disc for that matter). It shows it being a microsoft extension. Thanks for your help.
With Mac OS10.8.2 when I insert the first disc I get the message "You can’t open the application “Install Starry Night CSAP” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
After having read through the instructions above, if you are still having issues installing the software please submit a ticket/request.

The instructions above are useless.
If you have Orion Special Edition please see this thread:

First I had to load a new version (28) of Modzilla Firefox
The Download was very long (abt 45 Min-Patience is a virtue) in completing and I have high speed internet access here in FL. Did an install of Starry Night Pro Plus 7.0.0.95 Setting Home Location is not as in Version 6. Can alternate between 6 & 7 and I'll have to see what it takes to reset the point of view I had with v 6.4.3 leEM
Hello
My department is licensed for Starry Night 6 and would like to obtain the dmg for the install. Where can I obtain the file?

The installer window for Starry Night 7 looks a lot different than the installer window for Starry Night 6. Once I figured that out, though, it was plain enough to work with.
I'm not sure if the support link you provided is working correctly.
I am trying to enter a ticket regarding my installation problem and whenever I click submit It reloads the page without any error message or confirmation that anything was submitted and I can click submit again.
I'm having trouble installing Starry Night 7 Pro Plus on a newly formatted Mac with macOS 10.13 (High Sierra).
Not sure what's wrong with the support page.
These instructions do not work for SNP8 on OSX. When you double click the .dmg package at about 60% the installer icon starts to jump, when you click on the installer it opens a finder window but no viable files are highlighted. I ended up cancelling the the file save and then the program installer opened up. Also the installer was requesting access to my calendar and contacts. I didn't allow access. i'm gong to submit this on a ticket to make sure it gets seen by engineering.
These instructions apply to our old installer which was of the drag-and-drop kind. Our new installer is a .pkg file you will see when you double click on the .dmg package. Be aware that our app ships with a lot of data so it will take a little time to verify the .dmg file. Once it is finished and mounted you should see a folder with the .pkg file in it. Double click on that file and it will start the install.
