Hi, I am a student and bought the book "Investigating Astronomy". Along with it, is the required "Starry Night College" key to download the program valid for 18 months.
I entered the registration code, and went through the process of filling all of the necessary info, like college, name, etc. Finally, I came to the download page but I didn't click it. I left my computer to eat and came back to the computer like 10 minutes later, and the page had gone back to the initial registration process (enter the purchase code and the 2 captcha words".
I was a little surprised but figured it will just take me 5 extra minutes to re-fill all the registration info to download the program for windows. But it did not accept my code again, telling me that the code has been used already, and that I should contact the person who registered the product (me), So, I am stuck with the key, without the program, and they never sent me an e-mail or confirmation whatsoever.
My question is how can I download it again????? this thing cost me like $120, and I don't want to buy the 12 month AGAIN, since I already paid for it and got the 18 months.
I called the numbers in technical support, only to be told to call some other 1-800 number, since the book and the program are completely different companies, I called the other 1-800 number, but no one answers. I sent an e-mail, but so far have got only a confirmation that my ticket was submitted but no real response since yesterday.
Any ideas?
I start classes on Monday!!
PS- Lucky me, I have the registration code it was on the screen while the process of registration was going on, a 19 code digit that I wrote down. Lucky me, ...or maybe not so much...
I am having an almost identical problem. i would appreciate some type of response to this question.
If you purchase Starry Night and see the download links and registration number in the web bowser then an email has also been sent to the email address used for the purchase order. Check your email. Check your spam. The email includes a copy of the download links, and the registration information. If you cannot find the email, then submit a ticket request for assistance.
All of the above is also true if you are trying to use an access code that is refused as "already been used".
Hy Bryce.
What Keiron says is truth. In my case, besides missing the download link originally, I also mistyped my e-mail address. So I had 2 strikes against me but Keiron helped to get it working. After an e-mail with him, I got my download and program working.
Now its all solved. Hope your problems do too.
My computer crashed and I lost starry night along with everything else. I cant even get my e-mail back. I submitted a ticket this morning, with all my registration information. Keiron, help me out bro.
Thank you, Jason, for submitting a ticket request for assistance. Please check your email. I have resent your download links.
Thank you Keiron for the fast service and sending that E-mail out to me quickly. God it downloaded and installed in a flash. Thanks again.
I've tried to re-download my Pro 6 purchase onto my new computer. But the link doesn't recognize any of my email addresses. And five days after contacting Starry Night support, still no response.
I'm also having trouble. My computer has crashed and I am trying to download starry night college onto my husbands computer so that I can do my assignments. Can someone please help me get a code so that I can re-download? I am lost as to what to do.
