Registering Starry Night Pro 7 (Instructions are the same for PC and Mac):
After your purchase, you will receive an email "Registration and Download Details." You will find the following information in this email:

After Starry Night Pro 7 is installed, you will see the following window when you open the software:
If you enter the correct registration information in the window, a black checkmark will appear, and the "OK" button will become visible. If you enter incorrect User Name and Registration Number, then you will only see the option to "Quit." Please ensure you enter both the name and number exactly as you see them in the Registration and Download Details email. Sometimes, the registration window may open up with the User Name field already auto-filled. This may often be incorrect. You must enter the User Name from your Registration and Download Details email. Note that it is case sensitive. Copy and paste both your user name and registration for best results. This avoids any possible ambiguity reading letters as numbers and vice versa.
If you do not see the black checkmark, please carefully re-read the article. You will only have the option to "Get Registration Number" if you are installing from a disk. This will take you to a webpage to sign up, and then the registration information will be emailed to you. This option is not available if you are installing from a download.
Hi, I would like to know what shall I do when I change my computer? Do I have to buy new Starry Night?
Computer I am using right now need to be disposed - it is too old and "blue screen" is appearing too often. New one is waiting but first I would like to know what to do with my "toy" and how to register again on new computer or other advice.

Why every time I start Starry Night Special Edition, I have to enter registration details all over again. It is quite annoying.

Hello Rasanath,
For Windows, please right click your Starry Night application (or shortcut icon) ---> choose Properties ---> choose Compatibility ----> check the option to Run As Administrator ---> choose Apply ---> Choose OK.
Re-register the program, restart the program, and see if you have to enter the registration information again.
For Mac,
1. From the Finder menu bar navigate to Go > Go to Folder.
2. Type: ~/Library
3. In Library go to Preferences ---> Imaginova Canada (or Simulation Curriculum)---> Prefs <---- change the name of this to Prefs1.
4. Retry Starry Night
5. Register again

I happened to notice that my registration uses an email address that is no longer active. I had used my Comcast email address to register. I am no longer a Comcast subscriber and they closed my email account. Is there any way to change my registration email address?

I have been trying to load this for two weeks now and I still need to re-enter the registration code every time I start the program
The above comments do not work, the program is running in admin mode, but still requires registration code every time

I and a friend have just downloaded Starry Night backyard to each of our machines. The program requires a passwords and names that were not provided with the downloads. Please advise what we should do now.

The Starry Night Backyard download is not authorized by us. Backyard is version 3 - perhaps 15 years old. If you could get it to run you would encounter multiple issues as it is not compatible with current operating systems. We do not support it anymore, and there is no additional registration available.
If you're interested in using Starry Night software please purchase a version 7 equivalent.
