Thinking on buying SkyFi, since SkyWire, SkySafari for iPhone and Mac, and SatelliteSafari are all great products...
Is it compatible with the new Celestron AVx mount? I don't see it in the list. If not, is there a workaround?

Hi Almir,
Celestron AVX is supported. It is listed as a compatible mount in SkySafari's Settings ---> Telescope ---> Setup ---> Celestron AVX/CGE/CGEM
Is the AVX mount supported in Sky Safari for Mac OS-X, 1.8? I don't see it listed under settings-telescope.
Hi UrsaMajor1,
Please try one of the other NexStar mount types, for example: GPS/SLT/SE - which should work for you. There is nothing different about the AVX so this should work just as well.
I am unable to get SkyFi & Sky Safari to work with my Celestron AVX mount. I am using a serial cable that I know works with the mount (used Stellarium with it). I am able to create a Skyfi wireless network & log onto it with both my IPhone & Ipad, but then neither will connect to the mount.
The AVX does work with SkyFi. It took a couple of messy attempts but it now works great with my AVX.
