I cannot get my laptop running windows 10 to connect to my Skyfi unit, it consistently say "unable to connect". I have tried the FAQ answers to set up a ad hoc system but with no success. The unit worked with windows 7 so there is no fault with it. Please can you help.

Ticket update:
Hi Keiron,
I have checked out both of the above but I am still getting the cannot connect response and if I try to enter the skyfi web page the response is "you are not connected to the internet". I have tried the skyfi unit on a friends windows 7 laptop and it works perfectly and even lets me log onto the web page!
Marko Kudjerski replies:
Hi Terry, did you run into any trouble enabling Ad-Hoc networking on your Windows 10?
As you can see here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-networking/windows-81-ad-hoc-not-showing/5d75d887-ff59-425e-a480-9f80ada63627?page=3&tm=1391352567925 Windows 8 and above require the Ad-Hoc mode to be enabled.

Yes I did, I ran the scripts as indicated above in the command prompt window and it came back it was successful but when i look at the skyfi internet icon it still say not connected and i still cannot get onto the skyfi web site?
Marko Kudjerski replies:
Terry, would you be open to setting up the SkyFi to use a router as a go-between or do you always need to use it in the field without a router?

Ticket update:
Not at all, quite happy to do that as I only use it in the garden area within reach of my router. Any help on how to set it up would be gratefully appreciated.
Thankyou
Terry
Marko Kudjerski replies:
Hi Terry,
Please take a look here http://skysafariastronomy.com/products/skyfi/wireless.html and notice the section on Configuring SkyFi to Join Existing Wi-Fi Networks.
There is an issue of having to connect to SkyFi via ad-hoc first so that you could configure it. The good news is that you could do so with your smartphone and configure SkyFi for your router that way.
