Hello! I just hooked up a SkyFi to my scope for the first time, which has Argo Navis, and Servocat Gen 3. But I don’t see any telescope control buttons appear on SkySafari after it connects.
I first setup the scope like normal, turning on only the Servocat and Argo Navis, and aligning as usual with Argo Navis. After successful alignment, I power up the SkyFi and hook it up directly to the Servocat using the USB-A port on the SkyFi and the USB-B port (the PC port) on the Servocat. I then connect my phone to the SkyFi wifi network in my wifi settings, then open SkySafari and open the telescope control icon and tap “Connect”. Connection is successful!
I can move the sky map around in sky safari, select a new object and hit “go-to”, and the scope will move to that new object. I can also move to a different area of the sky on the map, and then tap “Lock”, and the map returns to the position of sky where the scope is currently pointing.
But there are no arrow buttons or slew rate options anywhere on the SkySafari screen. I can go-to seemingly any object no problem. Works every time. But no button controls to move up down, left right.
Would love to know if there’s a way to get those to appear! I’m hoping to be able to use this as a remote. Many thanks for any help!
