Yong Yew App and version. See Help > scroll to the bottom. : skysafari 7 plus, 7.1.6 (1068)
iOS version : iOS 16.1.1 ( 20b101)
Screenshots of each step in the setup of your SkyWatcher Preset. ( have config to use SyncScanlink )
A description of exactly what the issue is with regards to equatorial mode.
Home position ( singapore location latitude 1 deg / longitude 103 deg )
start connect as shown below. at sky safari telescope connect and select EQ mode.
select Capella star and press "goto" bottom . take note the green blue circle mount movement ( move right down to up )
but the Skywatcher AZ Gte mount show upside down.
Screenshot of any error message.
no error. take note when configure to AZ Gte mount (AZ mode with Sky Safari have not issue . position of the telescope is point to correct star position.)
i notice AZ Gte mount when configured AZ mode is will be using axis = (0,0) but when AZ Gte mount configured EQ mode axis = (-90 , +90) .Enclosed EQmode of syncScan app. suspect maybe the sky safari does not use same EQ mode axis. jus my guess. hope the information help for debugging.

Keiron Smith Yong,
Please see the discussion here:
Issues With SS7 Pro + SynScan App After Latest Update (Solution: Use Gideon's Workaround For Now)
Specifically, Tom's workaround: I too have had the same experience as Barbara. My current workaround is to use the handset to do the alignment, then connect the WIFI dongle to the scope (EQ-6 pro), then connect with either SkySafari 6 or 7. The scopes position is then successfully loaded into SkySafari.
Please let me know if you think this discussion is about the same issue you are reporting here.
Thanks for all the screenshots.

Yong Yew hi keiron,
1. for your advice using "Tom's workaround " . i have confirm standalone ios syncscan app ( vesion 2.1.11) is working correctly without any issue ( check alginment is good). after connect with skysafari 7 and use skysafari goto function to point to select star. it will end up away upside down ( or crash to my mount ).
Note: if i switch back to syncscan app and use syncscan app feature to point to star. It will not have any issue. so i suspect skysafari do not know AZ-Gte mount axis when switch to EQ mode. ( when AZ-Gte mount use as EQ mode. physically mount need to orientation axis (-90, +90) .
2. Skysafari 7 connect syncscan app as AZ mode and is working correctly with AZ-GTe Mount ( GOOD )
3. Skysafari 7 connect syncscan app as EQ mode with AZ-GTe Mount ( Not Working )
thank you
yong yew
