Possible suggestion, if could select constellation then highlight all objects within that constellation, ideally as an additional filter limited by magnitude. e.g. all NGC,IC, Deep sky etc
There may be a way possible now, if so would be good to see how

You can already do this via the advanced search. Use Advanced Search to search within a constellation, setting other constraints as desired (object type, magnitude, etc). Then convert the search results into an observing list and highlight it.
