Dividing Observing List into Seasonal Lists

I'm hoping to create seasonal lists for the Herschel II program, similar to what's already been done for the Herschel 400.  I've figured out in my Excel document which objects should go in which lists based on the RA and DEC but I wanted to reach out about the best way to do this without going through 400 objects individually and assigning them to a list.  Is there a better way?  I really enjoy having them separated and working through them by season as opposed to seeing all unseen objects all the time when I have a huge list highlighted.  Thanks!

    Chris,

This already exist in our Online Repository.  It may or may not divide the objects into seasons exactly as you list, but it should be close.  Go to the bottom of the Search list and tap on "Import from Online Repository".  Then tap on "Herschel Seasons" and you will see the lists.  Just tap them to import.

On a more general note, there is not an easy way to go from a spreadsheet to the format of an observing list.  We do document the format and if you are a programmer it is not too difficult to write a program to do the conversion.    Look at item #21 in this FAQ: http://www.skysafariastronomy.com/support/faq/skysafari.html

Thanks Bill. I have the Herschel 400 seasons already, but hoping to create the same thing for the Herschel II program, objects 401-800.  I'll check that FAQ item.  Thanks again!

I have these created.  How can we get them added to the Online Repository in case someone wants to download them?
