License Verification Failed

I bought and installed SkySafari 5 Pro in May this year. It worked flawlessly on my two android devices:
A HTC One M7 (Android 5.0.2) and an old Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android 4.0.4).

I used both devices without problems in the beginning of July.

Today I can only get it to work on my HTC. When I start the program om my old Galaxy Tab
I get an error message:
"License Verification Failed"
"Unable to verify the license for this copy of SkySafari Pro"
"You must purchase the app on Google Play if you haven't already done so"

I also get a message on the display: "!!! Application error !!!"

I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the result was the same.

Has the last upgrade in July changed the system requirements?  Is my android 4.0.4 too old??

    Sorry. I just read your help pages and discovered that you cannot help me with this program.

    I will try to use the program later.

    Anders,

    Not sure what you mean by we "cannot help with this program".  We can help.

    This error occasionally crops up.  It is usually some flakiness with Google's servers and often clears up after a few hours.

    You should also make sure that your device is logged into the same Google Play account as you used for the initial purchase.

    If you are still having problems after a day, I'd recommend deleting the app and reinstalling it from Google Play.  Very rarely there seems to be some sort of glitch where the Google Play app doesn't register the new install with Google's servers.

    Note that with every update this validation process has to happen again.  In 99.99% of the cases it works just fine but we have seen these rare problems.

    Hi, thanks for your quick response!

    I had meant to write: "cannot help with this PROBLEM".

    Unfortunately I read your help text after my note and realized that this was a known issue.

    I will try to follow your suggestions and see if I can get the program validated by Google.

    As I live in Sweden at 60 degrees north the summer nights are very bright and nearly useless for deep sky observing and I am

    very eager to test your excellent program when the skies get darker!.

    I'm sure we can get it resolved.  I don't think we've lost a customer yet because of it.

    Hi

    Now I am back up and running Skysafari 5 Pro again. After trying all different actions (deleting data and caches and reinstalling) I

    finally did a factory reset on the Galaxy Tab. After reinstalling I managed to get the validation OK.

    This was no big issue as I am only using this old tablet for Skysafari.

    As I had a backup of my observing lists it was easy to get everything back.
