SkySafari 5 Pro + Celestron Wi-Fi (Evo 8) + StarSense + iOS 11 | UI Unresponsive

SkySafari UI is laggy and intermittently unresponsive on iPad when actively connected to Celestron Wi-Fi. Responsiveness returns to normal immediately upon disconnecting from the telescope. This does not appear to be a connectivity issue. The UI takes 3 to 5 seconds to respond to touch input or doesn't respond at all.

SkySafari Pro 5.4.1, iOS 11.0.2, iPad Pro 10.5, NexStar Evo 8 HD with StarSense

    It would be really nice if someone from the support team would at least acknowledge this post. It's been a week already.

    Hi Jonathan,

    Previously this issue (as described here) was the result of a bug introduced by Celestron via code development.  However, I believe the issue was supposed to have been fixed in the latest update.

    Do you have any other iOS device on which you can also test?

    Please create a ticket with Celestron support, ask them to confirm the issue on an Evo 8 w/ StarSense - and link them to this forum post.

    Please then let us know what they say.
