I would like to be able to display the current coordinates of the pointing direction in any coordinate system I like (or even better, multiple coordinate systems) irrespective of the coordinate system used for the grid.
To be more specific, if I use the alt/az grid then I would like to still be able to display (in the top left) the current pointed direction in RA/Dec, ideally in addition to displaying it in alt/az.

I can add this to the list of requests but I doubt it will happen anytime soon if at all.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there is another way.
Mainly I want to be able to know where I am pointing in equatorial coordinates even when displaying the chart in the alt/az coordinate system. Being able to see both together would be even better.
